EK Books is a new imprint from Exisle Publishing dedicated to publishing quality children’s titles.
The focus of EK Books is on memorable characters, great stories, active ideas and messages that matter
The first title from EK Books, An Aussie Year: Twelve months in the life of Australian Kids, is written by Canberra writer and founder of Kids’ Book Review Tania McCartney and illustrated by Tina Snerling. A picture book for 6-10 year olds, this delightful story celebrates the diversity and inclusiveness of childhood in Australia.
The second book to be published under this imprint is another from author Tania McCartney and illustrator Tina Snerling, Tottie and Dot, full of detailed illustrations which perfectly complement this fun, vibrant storyline about keeping up with the Joneses, the importance of friendship, and being true to oneself.
At a time when many local publishers are struggling, it is great to be in a position to support talented local authors. We are always looking to build our list and encourage submissions of outstanding stories with meaningful ideas as their essence.
